PICC RN (We Train!)

We are seeking a PICC RN/Vascular Access Specialist to provide expert vascular access services to patients across our client facilities. In this role, you will perform bedside insertions of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs), midlines, extended dwell catheters, and peripheral IV catheters. You will also establish access via intravascular ports and conduct examinations, assessments, and evaluations of patients with vascular access devices. This position requires you to work within state licensing guidelines and company policies while maintaining a high level of professionalism and clinical skill.

Clinical Setting

You will work across a wide variety of healthcare facilities. Driving from client facility to client facility may account for a large part of your workday. You will routinely use portable ultrasound equipment, medical supplies, mobile phones, and computers.

Responsibilities

• Perform bedside insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs)
• Perform bedside insertion of midlines and extended dwell catheters
• Perform bedside insertion of peripheral IV catheters
• Establish access via intravascular ports
• Examine, assess, and evaluate patients with vascular access devices
• Educate patients and family members on procedures to be completed
• Answer questions regarding procedures
• Educate staff when necessary
• Clearly document procedures completed according to client policy and company policy

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state in which you will be working
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BCLS certification
• Completed vascular access competency skills checklist
• Communication proficiency
• Personal effectiveness and credibility
• Patient and client focus
