Join US Arthritis and Rheumatology Institute in Bullhead, AZ as a Physician Assistant in our rheumatology specialty. You will work alongside an experienced rheumatologist to provide comprehensive care to patients with autoimmune diseases, inflammatory arthritis, and connective tissue disorders. This full-time, in-person position offers the opportunity to diagnose, treat, and manage complex rheumatologic conditions while developing individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history taking, physical exams, and assessment of lab results
- Diagnose and manage rheumatologic conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and spondyloarthropathies
- Administer and monitor biologic therapies and DMARDs
- Perform joint injections, aspirations, and other rheumatology-specific procedures
- Develop and implement treatment plans with patient education and follow-up care
- Work closely with the rheumatologist, medical scribes, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Coordinate care with specialists and assist in referrals as needed
- Provide education to patients and families regarding disease processes, medication management, and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with practice policies and legal requirements
- Stay current with the latest research, treatment options, and clinical guidelines in rheumatology
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the NCCPA
- One or more years of experience in rheumatology
- Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant
- CPR/BLS certification
- DEA license
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex patient cases
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
