Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner– Mays & Schnapp Neurospine and Pain

Mays & Schnapp Neurospine and Pain is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to diagnose pain conditions and develop individualized care plans using a multidisciplinary treatment approach. You will work under physician supervision to help patients suffering from chronic pain, contributing to the organization's mission through clinical expertise and collaborative care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health by conducting interviews, performing physical examinations, and obtaining and reviewing medical histories
• Diagnose abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests such as X-rays and laboratory studies, and interpreting results
• Develop and implement individualized patient management plans
• Recommend options and courses of action for patient care
• Implement physician directives
• Perform therapeutic procedures, including safe and appropriate administration of injections
• Identify short-term and long-range patient care issues to contribute to physician efficiency
• Instruct and counsel patients on health promotion, normal growth and development, and emotional concerns related to daily living
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols to protect patients and employees
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and the organization's Code of Conduct, policies, and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Unencumbered state license in good standing
• Current maintenance of licensure with required CME/CEU hours
• Tennessee and/or Mississippi Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Protocol certification
• Ability to practice within relevant Standards of Care and Professional Conduct
