OB/GYN of East Brunswick, part of Axia Women's Health, is seeking an experienced full-time Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) with expertise in OB/GYN and women's health. This position is based in East Brunswick with potential rotation to Piscataway and Edison locations. The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends. Experienced Nurse Practitioners will also be considered.

Clinical Setting

You will work within a full-service OB/GYN practice alongside 6 physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, and 1 physician assistant, with plans for continued growth. Axia Women's Health is the nation's largest community-based, integrated women's health network, serving women across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Kentucky through nearly 150 locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive women's health care across the lifespan, including preventive care, gynecologic services, and support in obstetric care
  • Conduct age-appropriate, comprehensive patient assessments including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Perform routine gynecologic care, including annual well-woman exams, PAP smears, breast exams, contraceptive counseling and management, and STI/STD screening and treatment
  • Assist in obstetric care, including prenatal and postpartum visits, patient education and counseling, and monitoring of low-risk pregnancies
  • Diagnose and manage common gynecologic conditions such as abnormal uterine bleeding, vaginitis, sexually transmitted infections, and menopause-related conditions
  • Perform in-office procedures including IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals, endometrial biopsies, colposcopies, and other procedures within scope of practice and training
  • Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and imaging
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with state regulations and collaborative agreement
  • Collaborate closely with OB/GYN physicians and interdisciplinary team members
  • Consult with supervising physicians or other clinicians as dictated by patient need and assessment findings
  • Provide patient education on preventive health, reproductive health, and treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
  • Perform first assisting in surgical procedures, round on postpartum and post-operative patients, and provide patient telephone triage as assigned
  • Establish effective working relationships with members of the healthcare team, patients, and families
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety principles, legal issues including patient confidentiality, and risk management
  • Perform efficiently in emergency situations following established protocols

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS)
  • NCCPA Board Certification
  • 2 or more years of OB/GYN or women's health experience
  • Experience with office-based procedures including IUD and Nexplanon insertions and removals, and endometrial biopsy
  • Current unrestricted New Jersey Physician Assistant license
  • Controlled Substance Registration (CDS)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Schedule

  • Full-time, 40 hours per week

  • Ability to work across East Brunswick, Piscataway, and Edison locations as scheduled

Compensation

  • Salary range: $110,000 to $125,000 USD
  • Final offers may fall outside this range based on experience, skill set, location, hours, qualifications, and other job-related reasons
