UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners to join our team at multiple locations across Pennsylvania and West Virginia. This is a weekend-focused position (Saturday and Sunday) offering clinical variety in a fast-paced urgent care environment with the support of one of the nation's most respected healthcare networks.

Clinical Setting

You will work in state-of-the-art urgent care centers equipped with advanced technology including integrated EPIC EMR, point-of-care testing, and on-site X-ray capabilities. Each center is maintained to high standards and staffed with on-site radiology technicians and medical assistants who support your clinical leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care across a wide age range, from newborns through adults, in an acute care setting
  • Manage clinical complexity and variety in patient presentations
  • Perform minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting
  • Conduct preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
  • Engage in shared decision-making and problem-solving with the clinical team
  • Collaborate with radiology technicians and medical assistants as a clinical team leader
  • Share experience and training with other clinicians and staff members

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine, OR 2 years of experience in an Urgent Care setting, OR 2 years of Family Medicine experience
  • Comfort and competency with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints)
  • Ability to perform preliminary reads on EKGs and X-rays
  • Experience treating patients from newborn age and up in an acute care setting
  • For Physician Assistants: Master's degree and current NCCPA Certification
  • For Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree and current ANCC or AANP Certification

Schedule

  • Weekend shifts required (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Limited on-call availability required
  • Each clinician is assigned a primary anchor/home center with nearby secondary centers
  • Scheduling flexibility available Monday through Friday to accommodate vacations and wellness days

Compensation and Benefits

  • Sign-on bonus up to $15,000
