Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - PRN, Onsite

Concentra is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide PRN (as needed) coverage at an onsite occupational medicine clinic in Monmouth Junction, New Jersey. This role focuses on work-related injury care, occupational health services, and employee wellness within a corporate or industrial setting.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an onsite clinic environment, providing direct patient care as part of the onsite leadership team. You will operate under the direction of a supervising physician or director of medical operations and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality occupational and primary care services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including medical history compilation, physical examination, diagnosis, and treatment plan development
• Manage occupational medicine cases with focus on timely return-to-work measures, work duty status determination, and functional capacity assessment
• Provide advanced primary care including chronic condition management, preventive health screenings, age-appropriate vaccinations, and wellness initiatives
• Administer or order diagnostic tests such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory tests
• Perform therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, suturing, wound care, and infection management
• Conduct DOT physicals and first aid services
• Maintain timely, accurate, and detailed patient records and documentation
• Interpret diagnostic test results for deviations from normal
• Instruct and counsel patients on compliance with treatment regimens and health maintenance
• Monitor and understand key clinic metrics related to quality outcomes, case duration, lost time, and patient satisfaction
• Assist in developing, implementing, and revising policies affecting medical practice and clinical care quality
• Assist in developing and presenting education and instructional programs
• Provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, and peers

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM
• Coverage as needed on a PRN basis

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $75 to $85

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing or a related health field
• Master's degree in nursing or a related health field from an accredited college or university
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Current active nurse practitioner license in the state where employed, in accordance with state laws of practice
• Must maintain work state nurse practitioner licensure throughout employment
• Minimum three years of demonstrated experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine settings

• Demonstrated knowledge of occupational medicine requirements specific to the state
• Demonstrated working knowledge of clinical operations
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing delivery of rehabilitation services
• Knowledge of worker's compensation, clinical procedures, and processes involved in quality care delivery
• Ability to make decisions and solve problems using logic to identify key facts, explore alternatives, and propose quality solutions
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to properly handle sensitive and confidential information including HIPAA and PHI in accordance with federal, state, and company policies
• Outstanding customer service skills and ability to interact with people in a tactful and professional manner
• Demonstrated willingness to participate in continuing medical education
• Service mentality, attention to detail, sense of urgency, initiative, and flexibility
