Phone Triage Licensed Practical Nurse, Internal Medicine Group, Baptist Baymeadows

Baptist Health is hiring a Phone Triage Licensed Practical Nurse for the Internal Medicine Group at Baptist Baymeadows in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

You will provide nursing assistance to physicians, support clinical operations, and maintain medical documentation in a high-volume family medicine and pediatric primary care practice. You will work with children of all ages, utilizing approved pediatric telephone triage protocols and providing high-quality clinical support both in the office and through call center operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide phone triage support by assessing symptoms and determining appropriate levels of care
• Administer pediatric vaccines with strict adherence to CDC/ACIP immunization schedules
• Perform age-appropriate patient assessments and provide patient education
• Coordinate care and assist patients and families with clinical guidance
• Schedule care and treatment
• Process diagnostic tests and referrals
• Process prescriptions
• Begin IV therapy and administer medicines
• Provide patient information
• Document encounters and maintain medical records
• Support both clinical and call center operations in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Vocational degree required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required

Schedule

• Full-time, day shift
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation

• Up to $1,000 sign-on bonus available
