Per Diem Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Day Shift

NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on day shift. This position offers the opportunity to work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with 21 operating rooms equipped with cutting-edge surgical technologies. You will support complex surgical procedures including colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, advanced open and endovascular surgery for aortic aneurysms, and robotic urologic surgery.

Clinical Setting

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate in the operating room
• Support surgical teams in delivering patient care
• Participate in clinical decision-making within the surgical team

Schedule

This is a per diem day shift position with 10-hour shifts. Shift times are either 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., depending on unit needs. All roles require on-site presence. Employees should live within a commutable distance to the hospital location. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

Required Qualifications

• At least two years of acute care RN experience in Operating Room or Ambulatory Surgery
• Experience scrubbing and circulating
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Current New York State RN license
• BCLS certification from the American Heart Association

Compensation

Hourly rate: $76.00
