Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Pediatrics Nursing at the Icahn School of Medicine. This is an as-needed position providing clinical patient care to assigned pediatric patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis
- Maintain BCLS/ACLS certification and meet annual program requirements
- Demonstrate required competence in the area of assignment within position guidelines
- Complete the necessary orientation program coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement
- Comply with all institutional regulations as would a full-time employee
- Maintain telephone accessibility for assignment control
- Notify the unit or care center office of any changes in contact information
- Submit a letter of resignation at least two weeks ahead of the effective date
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services, or successful completion of an approved supplemental education program (post-Masters NP certificate)
- Relevant clinical nursing experience
- Active RN License (New York Department of Health/Office of Professions)
- Active CNP License (New York Department of Health/Office of Professions)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (required for ED, PACU/ASU, ICUs, Telemetry Units, SDU, IR, Interventional Cardiology, L&D, Endoscopy, and APN Adult Oncology assignments)
- NRP certification (required for Labor and Delivery and NICU departments)
- PALS certification (required for ED, PACU, IR, Pediatric ICU, and APN Pediatric Oncology departments)
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $96.42
- Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need
- Salary range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits
