Per Diem Nurse Practitioner-Pediatrics Nursing - Icahn School of Medicine

Mount Sinai Health System is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for Pediatrics Nursing at the Icahn School of Medicine. This is an as-needed position providing clinical patient care to assigned pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis
• Maintain BCLS/ACLS certification and meet annual program requirements
• Demonstrate required competence in the area of assignment within position guidelines
• Complete the necessary orientation program coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement
• Comply with all institutional regulations as would a full-time employee
• Maintain telephone accessibility for assignment control
• Notify the unit or care center office of any changes in contact information
• Submit a letter of resignation at least two weeks ahead of the effective date

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services, or successful completion of an approved supplemental education program (post-Masters NP certificate)
• Relevant clinical nursing experience
• Active RN License (New York Department of Health/Office of Professions)
• Active CNP License (New York Department of Health/Office of Professions)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS certification (required for ED, PACU/ASU, ICUs, Telemetry Units, SDU, IR, Interventional Cardiology, L&D, Endoscopy, and APN Adult Oncology assignments)
• NRP certification (required for Labor and Delivery and NICU departments)
• PALS certification (required for ED, PACU, IR, Pediatric ICU, and APN Pediatric Oncology departments)

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $96.42
• Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need
• Salary range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits
