Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner for the Hospital Medicine Practice to provide clinical patient care on an as-needed basis.
This position offers flexibility for a qualified nurse practitioner to work as-needed while maintaining involvement in acute and primary health care delivery. You will provide direct clinical care to assigned patients and participate in the Hospital Medicine Practice at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis
- Maintain BCLS/ACLS certification and meet annual program requirements
- Demonstrate required competence in your area of assignment according to position guidelines
- Complete the orientation program coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement
- Comply with all institutional regulations as required of full-time employees
- Maintain telephone accessibility for assignment control and notify the unit office of any changes to contact information
- Submit a letter of resignation at least two weeks before the effective date
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services, or successful completion of an approved supplemental education program (post-Master's NP certificate)
- Relevant clinical nursing experience
- Active RN License (New York Department of Health, Office of Professions)
- Active CNP License (New York Department of Health, Office of Professions)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification (required for ED, PACU/ASU, ICUs, Telemetry Units, SDU, IR, Interventional Cardiology, L&D, Endoscopy, and APN Adult Oncology assignments)
- NRP certification (for Labor and Delivery and NICU assignments)
- PALS certification (for ED, PACU, IR, Pediatric ICU, and APN Pediatric Oncology assignments)
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $96.42
- Actual salary depends on experience, education, and operational need
- Compensation does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits
