Mount Sinai Hospital's Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical patient care on an as-needed basis. You will work with patients across the cardiovascular service line, maintaining clinical competence and participating in the institution's orientation and ongoing education programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis
- Maintain BCLS/ACLS certification and meet annual program requirements
- Complete the required orientation program coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement
- Maintain telephone accessibility for assignment control and notify the unit office of any changes in contact information
- Comply with all institutional regulations as would a full-time employee
- Submit a letter of resignation at least two weeks ahead of the effective date
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services, or successful completion of an approved supplemental education program (post-Master's NP certificate)
- Relevant clinical nursing experience
- Active RN License (New York Department of Health / Office of Professions)
- Active CNP License (New York Department of Health / Office of Professions)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (American Heart Association)
- ACLS certification
Additional Certifications
Depending on unit assignment, the following certifications may be required:
- NRP (for Labor and Delivery or NICU departments)
- PALS (for ED, PACU, IR, Pediatric ICU, or Pediatric Oncology departments)
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $96.42
- Actual salary depends on experience, education, and operational need
- Compensation does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits
