Per Diem Nurse Practitioner-Cardiovascular Institute - Mount Sinai Hospital

Mount Sinai Hospital's Cardiovascular Institute is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner to provide clinical patient care on an as-needed basis. This role offers flexibility for an experienced advanced practice nurse to deliver acute and primary health care services within a specialized cardiovascular setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis
• Maintain BCLS/ACLS certification and meet annual program requirements
• Demonstrate required competence in the area of assignment within position guidelines
• Complete the orientation program coordinated by Nursing Education prior to engagement
• Comply with all institutional regulations as would a full-time employee
• Maintain telephone accessibility for assignment control
• Notify the unit or care center office of any changes in contact information
• Submit a letter of resignation at least two weeks ahead of the effective date

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree program designed to prepare a registered nurse to provide acute/primary health care services, or successful completion of an approved supplemental education program (post-Master's NP certificate)
• Relevant clinical nursing experience
• Active RN License (DOH/Office of Professions)
• Active CNP License (DOH/Office of Professions)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification (AHA)
• ACLS certification

Additional Certifications

Depending on assignment area, the following certifications may be required:

• NRP (for Labor and Delivery, NICU departments)
• PALS (for ED, PACU, IR, Pediatric ICU, and APNs in Pediatric Oncology departments)

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $96.42
• Actual salaries depend on experience, education, and operational need
• Compensation does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits
