Pediatric Certified Nursing Assistant

Ditmas Children's Nursing & Rehab, Brooklyn's first pediatric skilled nursing facility, is seeking certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate care for children with healthcare needs. This role focuses on supporting activities of daily living and assisting with specialized pediatric healthcare tasks in a dedicated facility environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living including hygiene, feeding, and dressing
• Organize and manage children's personal belongings
• Engage in play and recreational activities with children
• Support family visitation and assist with family needs
• Transport children to other areas of the facility
• Assist with healthcare activities including suctioning and tracheostomy care
• Maintain knowledge of infection prevention practices
• Maintain knowledge of child abuse prevention

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• State certification as a Nursing Attendant
• Completion of nursing attendant program
• Computer literacy
• Math skills
• Good communication skills
• Ability to handle, lift, pull, and push heavy objects
• Knowledge of infection prevention
• Knowledge of child abuse prevention
• Availability to work weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• Two years of experience working with pediatric population

Schedule

• Night shift available
• Work rotation on weekends and holidays required

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: $17-$22 per hour
