PCU ( Registered Nurse )

This is a contract-based Registered Nurse position in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located in Ocala, Florida. You will provide direct patient care in an acute care, fast-paced clinical environment, working on-site with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient health status, documenting changes accurately
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocols
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to plan individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and charting
• Assist in triage and prioritization of patient needs in a fast-paced environment
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
• Support quality improvement initiatives and contribute to process enhancements
• Participate in performance metrics and contribute to pipeline-based target tracking
• Collaborate with team to meet daily on-site targets and maintain high visibility of work

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license with valid registration for the applicable state
• Experience in acute care or fast-paced clinical environments
• Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy per protocol
• Strong documentation skills using electronic health records
• Ability to triage, prioritize patient needs, and manage fast-paced workflow
• Excellent communication with interdisciplinary team and patient education
• Commitment to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance

Schedule and Employment

• Contract-based position

Compensation

• $2,308 per 36 hours
• Competitive base salary as the core of your compensation package
