PCT - Patient Care Technician - General Medicine Infectious Disease Unit - Multiple Shifts

Join UAB Medicine as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on our General Medicine Infectious Disease Unit. In this full-time role, you will support the nursing team by providing essential technical aspects of patient care under the direction of RN/LPN staff. You will work in Alabama's largest and most comprehensive health system, serving patients from every county in Alabama, all 50 states, and many countries worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient vital signs
• Record patient weight, inputs, and outputs
• Assist with technical aspects of patient care as directed by nursing staff
• Demonstrate awareness of patient and personal safety
• Successfully complete the in-house PCT training program

Schedule

• Full-time position
• AM and PM shifts available

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required within thirty (30) days of employment
