PCT - Patient Care Technician - Adult Psych Addiction Med (C6S) - PM Shifts

Join UAB Medicine as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) in our Adult Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine unit. In this full-time position on PM shifts, you will support the nursing team by providing essential technical aspects of patient care under the direction of RNs and LPNs. You will work in a fast-paced clinical environment serving patients in our psychiatry and addiction medicine specialty.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient vital signs
• Monitor and record patient weight
• Track patient inputs and outputs
• Assist with technical aspects of patient care as directed by nursing staff
• Demonstrate awareness of patient and personal safety in all duties
• Successfully complete the in-house PCT training program

Schedule

• Full-time PM shifts

Compensation

• $15.50 - $19.50 per hour

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required within thirty (30) days of employment
