Patient Care Technician/CNA - Days & Nights - Safety Harbor

Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor is hiring Patient Care Technicians and Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct patient care in a dynamic hospital environment. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses, delivering hands-on care as part of a supportive healthcare team.

Clinical Setting

Mease Countryside Hospital is part of BayCare, one of the largest healthcare employers in the Tampa Bay area. The facility operates as a community-based acute care hospital with a forward-thinking approach to patient care.

Schedule

Full-time positions consist of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required.

Part-time positions consist of 2 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required.

Day shifts run from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

Night shifts run from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• A minimum of one of the following:
• 6 months of PCT/CNA acute care experience, or
• 1 year of PCT/CNA experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility, or
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) or Nursing Foundations (LPN) programs, or
• Completion of a PCT or Nursing Assistant program that includes at least 40 hours of external clinical component, or
• Successful completion of a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT internship, or
• EMT certification or Paramedic license (for Emergency Room positions only)
