Job Description

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant for the Hooker 2 unit, a specialty unit focused on Traumatic Brain Injury and Stroke care. In this role, you will work under the direction of the RN to provide direct patient care to individuals in medical rehabilitation. With an average patient length of stay of 25-30 days, you will develop strong relationships with patients and play a key role in their recovery journey. You will work alongside supportive, interdisciplinary teams in a warm and collaborative environment.

Clinical Setting

Hooker 2 is a CARF-accredited specialty unit specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, and Spinal Cord Injury care. The unit features state-of-the-art technology and newly renovated spaces with ceiling lifts to support safe patient handling.

Schedule

  • Night Shift: 11:15 PM - 7:15 AM
  • 32 hours per week
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CNA, CPCT, CEMT, CMA, or RMA certification, or equivalent training program completion
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CPR certification prior to hire
