Join Gaylord Specialty Healthcare as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Milne 2 Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit. Working under the direction of a licensed nurse, you will provide direct patient care to a specialized population with an average length of stay of 25-30 days, allowing you to develop strong relationships and play a key role in patient recovery.

The Milne Units are stepdown/progressive care units that provide exposure to advanced clinical skills and patient populations, including continuous telemetry monitoring, ventilator support and weaning, LVAD patients, and heart transplant populations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of patient care activities under the direction of a licensed nurse
  • Provide direct patient care to diverse patient populations
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in a supportive environment

Schedule

  • 32 hours per week
  • Evening shift: 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm
  • Every other weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CNA, CPCT, CEMT, CMA, or RMA certification, or equivalent training program completion
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CPR certification prior to hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Patient care experience
