Job Description

Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Telemetry/Medical Unit (Lyman 1). In this role, you will work under the direction of a licensed nurse, providing direct patient care to individuals in medical rehabilitation. With an average patient length of stay of 25-30 days, you will develop strong relationships with patients and play a key role in their recovery journey. You will work in a warm, supportive environment alongside an interdisciplinary team.

Clinical Setting

Lyman 1 is a medical unit offering exposure to a variety of patient populations and clinical skills, including:

  • Stroke care
  • Complex wound management
  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Pulmonary care

Schedule

  • 24 hours per week
  • Days shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Every other weekend and holiday season

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Current CNA, CPCT, CEMT, CMA, or RMA certification, or equivalent training program completion
  • American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) CPR certification prior to hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Patient care experience
