Patient Care Technician - Wesley Chapel ICU - Par time Days -

This position provides direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit at Wesley Chapel Hospital under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will care for assigned patients with various acute care needs, ensuring safe, high-quality care delivery in a fast-paced critical care environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and toileting assistance
• Ensure patient safety measures are in place and maintained
• Communicate effectively with patients and the care team
• Document care provided according to facility standards
• Perform validated clinical skills including urinary catheter insertion and removal, IV line reseal, superpubic catheter care, telemetry lead placement, and ostomy care and maintenance

Clinical Setting

• Intensive Care Unit at Wesley Chapel Hospital
• Part-time position, 40 hours per week
• Shift hours: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend work required
• No on-call duties
• No remote work

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• One of the following: 6 months of acute care experience; or 1 year of Skilled Nursing Facility experience; or successful completion of a BayCare-sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT Internship; or completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) or Nursing Foundation (LPN) programs; or EMT certification or Paramedic license (ER only); or completion of a PCT or Nursing Assistant program that includes at least 40 hours of external clinical component

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of hospital experience in a related field
