Patient Care Technician

USPI Texas Orthopedics Surgery Center in Austin is seeking a full-time Patient Care Technician to join our outpatient orthopedic surgical team. This position provides direct patient care in a 5-operating room and 1-procedure room facility performing outpatient orthopedic surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assisting patients with changing linens, ambulation, and transport
• Maintain a clean and orderly patient care environment
• Assist during patient examinations and procedures
• Obtain and record patient vital signs
• Provide nutritional intake and report results and observations
• Contribute to efficient delivery of surgical and procedural services that exceed customer expectations and improve clinical and financial operations

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or call requirements
• Some early mornings and later evenings may be required
• Schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day

Required Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Patient Care Technician clinical training
• Demonstrates necessary clinical competency
