Join Elmbrook Memorial Hospital's Surgical Progressive Care unit as a Patient Care Technician on the day shift. In this full-time role, you will provide essential support to patients in the surgical stepdown setting, assisting with activities of daily living and personal care while working alongside nursing staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with entry and exit from the unit
  • Support patients with personal care and activities of daily living
  • Report findings and changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
  • Document necessary patient records
  • Maintain clean and orderly patient rooms
  • Maintain medical equipment in proper working condition

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency, OR one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
  • Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry credential obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential from the state of Wisconsin with eligibility to work in a hospital setting, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
  • BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date
  • Additional certifications may be required by specific job locations
