The opportunity

Job Description

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician on a PRN (as-needed) basis to join our Resource Team. In this fast-paced, technical role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide direct patient care support services across our 294-bed acute-care hospital. You will work alongside nursing staff and professional healthcare providers to ensure the best possible patient experience.

Clinical Setting

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is a full-service acute-care hospital serving North Texas, certified as an Advanced Primary Stroke and Heart Attack Center by The Joint Commission. The facility includes Level III Trauma, NICU, and Maternal Care services, with advanced technology and patient-centered design.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with direct patient care under the supervision of nursing and professional staff
  • Provide support services to patients, nursing units, and healthcare team members
  • Communicate clearly and openly with team members
  • Build collaborative relationships to support a team-based care environment
  • Take accountability for your performance and professional growth
  • Identify and implement ways to improve the patient experience
  • Demonstrate initiative in your professional development

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • One of the following:
  • Graduation from a certified nursing assistant (CNA) program
  • Graduation from a certified medical assistant (CMA) program
  • One year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility
  • Documented completion of the first semester of a nursing program (nursing student)
  • Documented military experience as a medic or corpsman
  • Foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) card

Schedule

  • Hours: 0545-1815
  • Days: Various with some weekend shifts required
  • Employment Type: PRN (as-needed)
