Patient Care Technician

Peterson Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to provide direct care to residents in our skilled nursing facility in Wheeling, WV. In this role, you will assist residents with activities of daily living, monitor their well-being, and work collaboratively with the nursing team to ensure compassionate, resident-centered care.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility providing care to residents requiring assistance with daily activities and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care with dignity and respect for each resident
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal care
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning
• Ensure residents' comfort, safety, and well-being
• Make routine rounds and provide responsive care and services to residents
• Maintain accurate documentation as required
• Treat residents and their belongings with dignity and respect
• Perform other duties as assigned in a resident-centered care environment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous healthcare, caregiving, CNA, PCT, or direct patient care experience
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
