Patient Care Technician - PCT - Wound Healing Clinic - FT Days

Sanford Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support clinical operations in the Wound Healing Clinic at our Sioux Falls, SD location. This is a full-time day position offering flexible scheduling with no weekend or holiday commitments.

As a PCT, you will perform basic patient care services and support activities within outpatient services. You will work under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical professional, providing multi-skilled support to expand clinical services.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs including height, weight, and blood pressure
• Perform visual acuity and color vision screening
• Conduct drug screens and point-of-care urinalysis
• Assist with reception and clerical tasks
• Prepare patient treatment areas and medical equipment for use
• Clean and maintain patient care areas and treatment rooms
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy
• Monitor stock levels of medical inventory and reorder as needed
• Work with patient registries to identify opportunities to improve patient care
• Provide age-appropriate patient care and demonstrate cultural competency with patients from adolescence through geriatrics

Schedule

• Full-time position with 36 hours per week
• Four 9-hour shifts per week
• Shift times: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• No weekend or holiday commitment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health care providers required or within the first 60 days of employment
• If working in North Dakota and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be registered as a Nursing Assistant (NA) through the North Dakota Department of Health within four months from the date of initial employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of six months' experience
• Experience in a clinic setting
• Knowledge of healthcare, anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and medical equipment/supplies
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $17.50 - $23.00 per hour
