Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program Manager – LPN

Jones Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to serve as Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program Manager. This part-time role provides leadership and oversight for initiatives designed to strengthen PCT onboarding, engagement, development, retention, and overall workforce stability. Working closely with nursing leadership, Human Resources, Quality, and an external program partner, you will help develop and implement standardized practices that support PCTs throughout their employment while advancing patient care, quality, and workforce goals.

Clinical Setting

This position is based in Patient Care Services at Jones Memorial Hospital, with a focus on the Medical/Surgical unit. You will maintain clinical competency and may perform LPN clinical functions within Patient Care Services when operational needs require, consistent with licensure, competency, and organizational policy.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational initiatives focused on PCT engagement, retention, development, and workforce stability
• Provide administrative oversight and support for the PCT workforce in collaboration with Nursing Directors and nursing leadership
• Develop and strengthen standardized onboarding, coaching, and ongoing support for current and newly hired PCTs
• Serve as the primary organizational liaison for an external PCT workforce improvement partnership
• Participate in coaching sessions, learning collaboratives, site visits, and other program activities
• Apply quality improvement principles to test, evaluate, and refine PCT workforce and workflow initiatives
• Track program outcomes and complete required data and narrative reporting
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to PCTs to promote professional growth, engagement, and role satisfaction
• Partner with Human Resources on recruitment, onboarding, retention strategies, and workforce metrics
• Collaborate with Nursing, Quality, and organizational leadership to align PCT initiatives with patient care, safety, and operational priorities
• Participate in applicable committees, workgroups, and organizational improvement initiatives
• Perform LPN clinical functions within Patient Care Services when operational needs require
• Maintain competency and qualification to practice on the Medical/Surgical unit

Schedule

Part-time, 0.3 FTE, 24 hours per pay period, days shift.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligibility for NYS licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Clinical experience in an acute care or comparable healthcare setting
• Ability to meet clinical competency requirements for Patient Care Services, including Medical/Surgical
• Strong communication, organization, coaching, and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Previous leadership, supervisory, education, or program management experience
• Experience supporting employee engagement, onboarding, retention, or quality improvement initiatives
