Patient Care Technician (PCT) - PRN Days | Pittsburgh Specialty

PAM Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on a PRN basis for day shifts at our Pittsburgh specialty facility.

As a Patient Care Technician, you will perform various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. You will work within the scope of the PCT position, which does not include administering medications or therapy, and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. All duties are performed in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities as directed by nursing staff
• Provide accommodative services to patients
• Work under the supervision of RN or LVN/LPN staff
• Maintain compliance with facility policies and procedures

Schedule

• PRN (as-needed) position
• Day shifts

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit
