White Oak Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) day shift. In this role, you will provide direct patient care support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing vital signs monitoring, assisting with activities of daily living, and maintaining a safe care environment for critically ill patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs monitoring and assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision
- Follow the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse
- Receive report from the Registered Nurse at the start of each shift
- Ensure a culture of safety throughout your work area
- Identify and report malfunctioning or expired equipment and supplies
- Ensure work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately
- Consider the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations
- Participate in department and organizational education programs, meetings, committees, and professional initiatives
- Commit to personal and professional development to adapt to ongoing change
- Present a positive and professional image to represent nursing and the organization
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program
- Successful completion of the CNA exam
- Maryland CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Effective command of English language (spoken and written)
- Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending, and turning
- Strong computer skills

- Experience in acute care clinical setting
Schedule
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Typical Daily Schedule: 6:45 am to 7:15 pm, working three 12-hour shifts per week
- Shift Type: Day shift
- Weekend Requirements: Within the 4-week schedule cycle, you are expected to work a minimum of three weekend shifts (1 Saturday, 1 Sunday, and another weekend shift of your choice). You must also work 1 Monday and 1 Friday.

Compensation
- Pay Range: $19.21 to $24.90 per hour
- FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
