Patient Care Technician Ortho Neuro

Ascension Via Christi is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Ortho Neuro department at St. Francis in Wichita, Kansas. In this role, you will provide hands-on assistance with basic patient care under the guidance of licensed nursing staff, supporting patients in the orthopedic and neurology specialties. This is a full-time night shift position.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance with basic patient care under the guidance of licensed nursing staff
• Support safe patient movement, transfers, and positioning
• Observe and report changes in patients' physical, emotional, or mental condition to the nursing team promptly
• Maintain clean, organized patient rooms and ensure medical equipment is properly cared for and ready for use

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active CNA Certification, or willingness to obtain it
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted)

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a caregiving role
