Join New York-Presbyterian Hospital as a Patient Care Technician in our Obstetrics unit on the night shift. In this role, you will provide direct patient care on Cohen 16, serving patients during a critical time in their healthcare journey. You will work as part of an award-winning nursing team, functioning as the eyes and ears of the clinical unit while delivering compassionate, attentive care.
Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs including body temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure
- Draw blood and perform phlebotomy procedures
- Report abnormal findings to the nursing team promptly
- Put patients at ease and provide reassurance during care
- Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Nurse's Aide or equivalent role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved phlebotomy program
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Schedule
- Night Flex shift
- On-site presence required; all employees must live within a commutable distance to New York-Presbyterian Hospital
- Travel expenses will not be reimbursed
Compensation
- Hourly rate: $33.80 to $38.65
