Patient Care Technician-Nights

Madera Community Hospital, a General Acute Care facility in Central California, is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Emergency Department on the night shift. This dual-role position combines clerical and patient care responsibilities under the supervision of RN staff. The Patient Care Technician provides task-oriented patient care support in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical duties in the Emergency Department
• Provide direct patient care tasks under RN supervision
• Interact positively with patients, families, and the public
• Support emergency department operations

Required Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association BLS certification
• Work experience requiring positive interaction with patients, families, and public
• Excellent customer service and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of patient care experience
• Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant training and knowledge
• EMT or equivalent education
• Bilingual Spanish language skills
