Patient Care Technician Neuroscience

Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola is seeking a Patient Care Technician for our Neuroscience unit. In this full-time day position, you will provide direct support to patients and nursing staff in a hospital neuroscience setting, assisting with patient care, mobility, and activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient movement and positioning
• Help patients with personal care and activities of daily living
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and medical equipment
• Report changes in patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
• Document necessary patient care records

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency, OR 1 year of applicable patient care technician experience
• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of patient care technician experience in a hospital setting
• Open availability
