Patient Care Technician Neurology Stoke

Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Neurology Stroke Department. In this role, you will provide direct support to patients and nursing staff in a specialized neurological care setting, assisting with patient movement, personal care, and activities of daily living while monitoring and reporting changes in patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with movement and placement of patients
• Help patients with personal care and activities of daily living
• Report findings and changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff
• Document necessary patient records
• Maintain clean, orderly patient rooms and medical equipment

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency, OR one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire date or job transfer date
