Patient Care Technician - Medical ICU - Days

Join Endeavor Health as a Patient Care Technician in the Medical ICU at our Glenbrook location. In this full-time role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced intensive care setting. You will assist with a wide range of clinical tasks and contribute to positive patient outcomes and high-quality care experiences.

Responsibilities

• Work under RN supervision to deliver patient care
• Assist with vital signs including manual blood pressure measurement
• Perform 12-lead EKG, bladder ultrasound, and blood glucose monitoring
• Assist with Foley catheter and IV adapter removal
• Collect sterile specimens
• Provide patient hygiene, bathing, and bed care
• Assist with patient ambulation, turning, and hourly rounding
• Support patient feeding and admission to rooms
• Prepare patients for discharge
• Assist with implementation of patient-specific care plans
• Perform other duties as delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Contribute to unit safety outcomes and quality improvement initiatives

Schedule

• Full-time position, 36 hours per week
• Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Rotating weekends required
• Mandatory orientation: Monday through Friday, day shift, first week of employment

Required Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the United States
• Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association
• Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training course, or completion of at least one nursing clinical rotation in medical or surgical setting

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience
• Prior nursing assistant experience
