Job Description
As a Patient Care Technician in Medical Education, you will provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff while ensuring patient safety and well-being. This full-time position offers multiple shifts and is ideal for someone beginning a career in healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Answer patient calls and assist patients with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Feed patients and measure and record their food and liquid intake
- Monitor and document patients' temperature, blood pressure, and other vital signs, reporting changes to nurses or doctors
- Assist nurses or doctors with medical procedures and dressing wounds
- Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hospital setting
