Patient Care Technician I, Full-Time Days, 7a-3p, Operating Room, Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center

Atlantic Health Overlook Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician I to join the Operating Room team on a full-time day shift (7a-3p). In this role, you will assist physicians and nursing staff in providing direct patient care and support in the operating room environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, and dressing
• Obtain and record vital signs, weights, and heights
• Assist patients with mobility, including ambulation, transfers, discharges, and range of motion activities
• Perform post mortem care
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring
• Observe and report changes in patients' condition to the RN
• Maintain phlebotomy equipment and inventory
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• EMT certification and/or nursing assistant certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Patient, compassionate nature
• Ability to operate as part of a team alongside physicians and nurses
• Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information systems
