Patient Care Technician - Float Pool, 16 hours/ week, Nights

Join Beverly Hospital as a Patient Care Technician in our float pool, providing essential patient care support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. In this 16-hour per week night shift position, you will assist with basic patient care activities, focusing on patient comfort, safety, and personal needs while working as part of a multi-skilled care team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record vital signs, height, weight, and oxygen saturation
• Collect various specimens for laboratory analysis
• Record and measure patient intake and output
• Provide personal care assistance and support with activities of daily living
• Assist patients with nutritional needs, including meal tray setup and feeding
• Perform basic clinical procedures independently or under RN supervision
• Report all unusual observations to the supervising nurse
• Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing patient care needs

Schedule

• 16 hours per week, night shift
• Every other weekend
• Every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic four-function math
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire
• Desire to help people and/or aspirations of becoming a healthcare professional

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Basic computer skills
• Medical terminology knowledge

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $19.50 - $26.24
• Actual compensation determined based on seniority, education, training, relevant experience, certifications, work location, job responsibilities, and other applicable factors
• Additional compensation may include shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, and overtime pay as applicable
