Patient Care Technician Float

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician Float to support clinical operations under the direct supervision of physicians and advanced practice clinicians. In this role, you will be responsible for patient examination and treatment assistance, working across multiple clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Check in patients and obtain vital signs including height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, pulse oximetry, and temperature
• Perform medication reconciliation and gather patient medical history information
• Room patients and expedite patient flow through the clinic
• Navigate the electronic health record system (EPIC)
• Stock clinic supplies
• Perform non-clinical duties as needed
• Communicate respectfully and uphold Baptist Health's mission and core values

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer skills, specifically with navigating databases containing highly confidential information
• Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Other advanced training as appropriate (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• Willingness to attend orientation, externship, and additional training as needed upon hire
