Patient Care Technician - Emergency Room 9A-9P

Join Methodist Richardson Medical Center as a Patient Care Technician in our Emergency Room, working a 9A-9P shift, 3 days per week. In this fast-paced, technical role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide direct support to patients, nursing staff, and the clinical team in one of the region's leading acute care hospitals.

Clinical Setting

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is a 443-bed, full-service acute care hospital serving Richardson, Garland, Plano, and surrounding areas in Dallas and Collin counties. The hospital is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center and the nation's first hospital to receive The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Pancreatic/Hepatic/Biliary Cancer Certification. The facility also operates a Level III Trauma Center and Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Required Qualifications

You must meet at least one of the following:

• Graduation from a certified nursing assistant program or certified medical assistant program
• One year of experience as a nursing assistant in a comparable healthcare facility
• Documented completion of the first semester of a nursing program (nursing student)
• Documented military experience as a medic or corpsman
• Foreign nursing graduate not currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the U.S.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience

Licenses and Certifications

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support card (required)
