The opportunity

Job Description

St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg is hiring Patient Care Technicians to provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses in a dynamic hospital environment.

Clinical Setting

You will work at St. Anthony's Hospital, part of BayCare's network of 16 community-based hospitals and healthcare facilities serving the Tampa Bay area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse

Schedule

Full-time positions consist of 3 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required.

Part-time positions consist of 2 twelve-hour shifts per week with every other weekend required.

Day shifts run from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM.

Night shifts run from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • A minimum of one of the following:
  • 6 months of PCT/CNA acute care experience, or
  • 1 year of PCT/CNA experience in a skilled nursing or rehab facility, or
  • Completion of Nursing Fundamentals (RN) or Nursing Foundations (LPN) programs, or
  • Completion of a PCT or Nursing Assistant program that includes at least 40 hours of external clinical component, or
  • Successful completion of a BayCare sponsored Nursing Assistant or PCT internship, or
  • EMT certification or Paramedic license (for ER positions only)
