Patient Care Technician

DaVita is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support patients with end-stage renal disease in an outpatient dialysis clinic. As a PCT, you will provide direct, hands-on care under RN supervision, helping patients through life-sustaining dialysis treatment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, hygienic, and compassionate dialysis care
• Monitor patients before, during, and after treatment
• Set up and maintain dialysis equipment
• Record vital signs and patient data
• Educate patients on treatment and kidney health
• Collaborate with nurses, dietitians, social workers, and other care team members

Required Qualifications

• Accredited high school diploma, general education development (GED) credential, or equivalent
• Comfortable around blood, needles, and medical equipment
• Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
• Willing to float between local clinics if needed
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA, MA, CHT, or phlebotomy certification
• Prior healthcare experience

Schedule

Shifts can begin as early as 3:00 AM and closing shifts can end as late as midnight or 1:00 AM. Shifts are scheduled well in advance and are 8-12 hours in length. Typically, team members work 3-4 days per week and are expected to work rotated Saturdays. The clinic is closed on Sundays. An overview of the schedule will be shared during the interview process.

Compensation

The wage range for this role is $21.50 - $33.00 per hour. Patient Care Technician ICHD Resident positions are $21.50 - $23.00 per hour. Compensation depends on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. Location-specific minimum wage requirements apply.
