Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Cancer Unit on the third shift (nights) in Woodbridge, VA. As a Patient Care Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to provide patient care, support admissions and discharge processes, and maintain patient safety practices. You will observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One of the following:
- Sentara Care Partner Certification Program
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
- National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)
- Completion of US Navy Hospital Corps School
- Emergency Services certification including EMR, EMS, EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic
- Current enrollment in a clinical program (RN, LPN, RT, or PT) with at least one semester completed
- Current work experience within the last three years as a PCT or Nursing Assistant
Compensation
- Base pay range: $18.93 - $27.41 hourly for full-time employment
- Additional compensation may be available including shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities
- Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs
