St. Joseph's Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver direct patient care on our acute inpatient medical-surgical unit. You will work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and clinical support teams to care for patients admitted to our hospitalist service, including those with a variety of acute medical and respiratory conditions.
In this role, you will perform clinical tasks that do not require nursing judgment or medication administration. Your responsibilities will include phlebotomy, EKG procedures, and other direct patient care duties as assigned. You will be accountable for the quality and safety of the care you deliver and will adhere to St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center standards of care and practice.
This position requires heavy work, including standing, lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying.
Office and clinical setting with Exposure Class I hazards.
You will participate in orientation and continuing education to maintain and update knowledge and skills related to your area of expertise. You will complete population-specific competency training annually based on the populations served.
