Part-Time School Nurse

St. Peter Catholic School in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City, MO is seeking a part-time school nurse to provide first-line healthcare services to students. This position reports to the principal.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency first aid and other minor health services to students
• Administer student health records and assist parents with medication dispensation
• Maintain confidentiality related to student health records
• Perform skilled nursing care including CPR and first aid as needed
• Conduct regular review of possible health care problems
• Stay current with developments in healthcare as they apply to the school setting
• Administer medications and provide patient care activities within the scope of licensure
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Possession of certifications, licenses, and insurance compliant with all State and diocesan policies and laws
• Background check clearance
• Commitment to the Code of Conduct policy
• Completion of online and in-person trainings prior to hire

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of nursing experience in a school setting
