Part-Time School Nurse

St. Peter Catholic School in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City, MO is seeking a part-time school nurse to provide first-line healthcare services to students. This position reports to the principal and involves delivering emergency first aid, administering medications, maintaining student health records, and performing skilled nursing care within the school setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency first aid and other minor health services to students
• Administer student health records and assist parents with medication dispensation
• Maintain confidentiality related to student health records
• Perform skilled nursing care, CPR, and first aid as needed
• Conduct regular review of possible health care problems
• Stay current with developments in healthcare as they apply to the school setting
• Administer medications and provide patient care activities within the scope of licensure
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Possession of certifications, licenses, and insurance compliant with all State and diocesan policies and laws
• Background check clearance
• Commitment to the Code of Conduct policy
• Completion of online and in-person trainings prior to hire

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of nursing experience in a school setting
