The opportunity

Job Description

Fast Pace Health is seeking a Part-Time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality healthcare in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinic environment. You will provide care to patients across all ages through both in-person clinic visits and telehealth consultations, while meeting established patient volume goals. This role offers the opportunity to work with a supportive team, grow your clinical competencies, and participate in community outreach programs.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a clinic-based urgent care or occupational medicine setting, providing diagnostic and therapeutic services. The role includes both autonomous clinic work and virtual telehealth patient management. You will lead clinic staff including X-Ray Technologists, Nurses, and Front Office Specialists in delivering excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality care in both clinic and telehealth settings while meeting targeted patient volume goals
  • Discuss and review patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications
  • Ask situation-specific questions to formulate accurate diagnoses and provide appropriate guidance
  • Analyze and interpret patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, and diagnostic information to develop diagnoses
  • Order, perform, or interpret diagnostic test results
  • Prescribe medications responsibly and educate patients on treatment and care of acute and chronic conditions
  • Deliver patient-centric care with attention to safety, cost, and accurate information
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient charts and forward as appropriate daily
  • Implement clinical and telehealth protocols as outlined by the Chief Medical Officer and Supervising Physicians
  • Pursue telehealth patient queues in a timely fashion to ensure proper follow-up
  • Lead clinic staff through example in behaviors, actions, and attitude
  • Actively engage with clinical leadership to ensure strong patient care and resolution of concerns
  • Attest to and follow clinical practice guidelines established by the Office of Medical Affairs
  • Attend mandatory monthly meetings with Supervising Physicians and E/M training
  • Welcome and facilitate onboarding of new employees, including clinic tours and process overviews
  • Actively assist new employees with learning activities and required training
  • Support new employee training through job shadowing, demonstration, and coaching
  • Recommend ideas to improve overall patient experience and care
  • Communicate regularly within the team to support excellent patient care
  • Maintain compliance with all company standards, HIPAA regulations, and federal and state requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Schedule and Employment

  • Part-Time position with minimum requirement of 4 shifts per month
  • Full-Time employees are required to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend
  • Ancillary providers are required to be on-call periodically throughout the year
  • DOT certification must be obtained within 120 days of employment and maintained during employment

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) or Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies (MMS)
  • Active, current license in good standing and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency
  • Active DEA registration in good standing (required for all providers; if limited by years of practice under state law, DEA must be obtained within 120 days of meeting minimum years of practice)
  • Ability to treat all ages and meet any credentialing requirements needed
  • At least 1-2 years of experience as a provider in a relevant practice setting such as Urgent Care, Occupational Medical Facility, ER, Trauma Unit, or Family Medical Practice
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, autonomous environment within both in-patient clinic and virtual settings
  • Ability to perform responsibilities within standard NP/PA protocols
  • Knowledge of and compliance with company standards of operations
  • Ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees
  • Ability to promote and maintain a respectful culture of employee, employer, and business confidentiality
  • Ability to consult with patients through virtual communication channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working as a Telehealth Clinician

Experience Levels

Compensation and benefits are determined by experience level:

  • Level 1: New graduate with up to 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Level 2: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with over 1 year and less than 5 years of experience
  • Level 3: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with over 5 years and less than 10 years of experience
  • Level 4: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with over 10 years of experience
