Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center - Nurse Extern Opportunities

Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center is seeking Nurse Externs to join our 199-bed acute care hospital serving Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. As a Nurse Extern, you will work under the supervision of RN staff members to assist patients with activities of daily living and provide basic patient care designed to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients. This role offers valuable clinical experience in a supportive, collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living
• Provide basic patient care to meet physical, emotional, and social needs
• Perform nursing practice interventions learned within clinical training and validated by RN staff members
• May be cross-trained to perform unit secretary clerical duties

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited RN program
• Successfully completed a Nursing Fundamentals course
• Completion of first clinical rotation
• AHA BLS certification
