Inova Primary Care is seeking a full-time Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical care in a physician practice setting. This position offers the opportunity to work in primary care with a focus on patient education, preventive care, and direct patient support in a non-acute outpatient environment.
Schedule
- Full-time, day shift
- Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform full patient intakes and health assessments
- Reconcile patient medications
- Provide patient and family education
- Administer vaccinations, injections, and perform phlebotomy
- Deliver safe and therapeutic care using a holistic, systematic approach
- Incorporate cultural differences into patient care while meeting the needs of patients and families
- Use data and information to improve care delivery and enhance patient outcomes
- Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to other team members
- Determine immediate clinical priorities and offer solutions to problems
- Work collaboratively with the team to achieve maximum productivity
- Make independent clinical decisions based on nursing knowledge and experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with commitment to complete BSN within 5 years of start date
- Active RN license or eligibility to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Zero years of registered nurse clinical experience required (entry-level eligible)

- Two years of experience as an RN in ambulatory medicine
