Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) - Children's Multispecialty

Inova Children's Multispecialty is seeking a full-time Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to provide clinical care in a pediatric multispecialty practice setting. This position is based in Fairfax, Virginia and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient physician practice serving children across multiple specialties. Inova is consistently ranked as a national healthcare leader in safety, quality, and patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform prior authorization and medication refill requests
• Manage in-basket communications
• Administer injections
• Provide patient and family education
• Deliver safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic manner
• Incorporate cultural differences into patient care while meeting the needs of patients and families
• Use data and information to improve care and enhance outcomes
• Provide direction, guidance, and mentorship to other team members
• Make independent clinical decisions based on education and experience
• Determine immediate priorities and offer solutions for problems
• Work collaboratively with the team to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN). If you hold an ADN, you must complete a BSN within 5 years of your start date.
• Active RN license or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Registered Nurse
